Go – Grid Design Layout

Earlier this month the scrapbooking/crafting industry celebrated iNSD (interNational Scrapbooking Day). I was invited by the lovely ScrapGals to participate in their online celebrations. Since it was scrapbooking celebration I decided to create a layout, I have been very inspired by grid designs lately and therefore opted to create a fun design inspired by the large chipboard letters and leftover fabric I had sitting on my work desk.

When creating a grid design I always ensure to include white space and cascading elements to my design. I find that this combo balances out the large amount of small bits and pieces, because a grid design isn’t complete without lots of odds and ends. Love the simplicity of this design and the bold statement the chipboard and fabric bring to this layout.

I've been part of the scrapbook industry for over 10 years. My love of paper started at a very young age when I started hoarding a collection of notepads and fruit scented pens. My love of scrapbooking and memory keeping evolved when I became a mother. Over the course of my creative career, I've had the pleasure of designing for various manufactures; I currently design for Ali Edwards and Gossamer Blue. My style is eclectic with a flair for mixing embellishments, creating layers and a love for white space. As of two years ago, I shifted her creative focus to documenting our family’s daily activities with Project Life.
