Summer PL

When it comes to working on my family PL album I like to stay on top of things, sadly I’m currently 2 months behind but my pictures are all ready, printed and in the pockets. This definitely helps me to tackle my spreads, I find that editing and printing pictures is one of the task that I least prefer to do, so by having it done in advance it helps to simplify my process.

This spread is from our summer vacation, it was a busy week so it is picture heavy. I worked with a Studio Calico kit to complete it.

I loved the stamp that was included with the kit so I decided to pair with my pictures that have some white space. When stamping on pictures I love to use Staz-On as it dries quickly and doesn’t smudge.

The kit did have some sequins which I’m not a fan of, but also didn’t want to throw them out, so I opted to fill up two pockets, it added texture to my spread, in the end I did like how they turned out and was glad that I incorporated them!

I did opt for minimal text as I mostly recapped our vacation, I didn’t want to overwhelm an already busy spread by adding too much text.

This turned out to be a fun and colorful PL spread, I usual opt for a softer color palette but the bright colors complimented my pictures very well. Happy with how this one turned out!
