Best – Story Kit

This month’s Story Kit theme is Best, so many memory keeping ideas come to mind for this theme. I really wanted to document something that might not be part of my regular day to day memory keeping, I opted for a story about my middle daughter’s take on being in the middle kid, I love her story and take on being a big and little sister.

This spread is 6×8 and features a large picture of my three daughters, with my middle daughter in the middle which was very fitting for the theme of this spread. I printed the digital elements to create a fun border on the picture, I added a digital template at the top of the picture for the important facts of the spread.

For the journaling, I resized a 3×4 journaling care to 6×8 and added the journaling. I opted to print this paper on photo paper because I wanted it to have the same texture as the picture, plus the satin finish paper that I used really makes the color pop off the page.

Ali’s Story Kits are always are great way to spark inspiration and creativity, to step out of the box and document those stories that might not make in a PL or layouts. I love how my story album is coming along, those stories are so important to me and I’m glad I have them documented for daughters to remember.

I've been part of the scrapbook industry for over 10 years. My love of paper started at a very young age when I started hoarding a collection of notepads and fruit scented pens. My love of scrapbooking and memory keeping evolved when I became a mother. Over the course of my creative career, I've had the pleasure of designing for various manufactures; I currently design for Ali Edwards and Gossamer Blue. My style is eclectic with a flair for mixing embellishments, creating layers and a love for white space. As of two years ago, I shifted her creative focus to documenting our family’s daily activities with Project Life.
