Give – AE

This month’s Story Kit theme was Give. Again, so many options and topics that are fitting for the “give” theme. At first I thought about “give me a break” (LOL!!!), as a working mom of 3 a break is always needed, although it was an entertaining topic I opted for a more meaningful subject, my daughter’s hardwork and struggles (at time) with school. She is such a hardworker, I’ve never seen so much perseverance in a kid, she gives it her 110% and that deserves to be recognized and acknowledge.

To create this 6×8 spread I opted for the “ok” digital diecut as my source of inspiration. I resized the diecut to a 6×8 canvas and added the “give it your all” digital brush on top of the “ok”, love the contrast of the fonts and colors. The journaling was done in PSE, I added a star and cork to anchor my page and design.

On the opposite side I have a picture (a bit blurry but still usable) of my daughter hard at work, to which I added a digital brush and some elements from past kits. The stars compliment the large star on the opposite page and the circle sticker was ideal for the date and a pop of color.

I've been part of the scrapbook industry for over 10 years. My love of paper started at a very young age when I started hoarding a collection of notepads and fruit scented pens. My love of scrapbooking and memory keeping evolved when I became a mother. Over the course of my creative career, I've had the pleasure of designing for various manufactures; I currently design for Ali Edwards and Gossamer Blue. My style is eclectic with a flair for mixing embellishments, creating layers and a love for white space. As of two years ago, I shifted her creative focus to documenting our family’s daily activities with Project Life.
