Day – FYC

Happy to be back to share my latest project for Feed Your Craft created with the latest kit – In Review. Loved using the different items from the kit along with a brown paper bag to create this spread. Reusing products in a fun and unconventional way to create a unique project.

I wanted to create a bold statement on the left side of the page (and also hide a couple of staples from the previous project), so I opted to cut out a paper bag in which was packaged my FYC kit. With the In Review Stamp and some versamark I created a fun background. Love the water effect of the versamark on the paper bag, this is always one of my favorite stamping technique.

I balanced the heavy design of the left page with a light and airy design on the opposite page, sometimes this method can result in creating two pages that clash and don’t compliment each other but in this case I do think it works. I also used the In Review stamp on the right page, the journaling grid was ideal to anchor my small pictures to the page. I completed this design this accent with embellishments from the In Review kit.

I've been part of the scrapbook industry for over 10 years. My love of paper started at a very young age when I started hoarding a collection of notepads and fruit scented pens. My love of scrapbooking and memory keeping evolved when I became a mother. Over the course of my creative career, I've had the pleasure of designing for various manufactures; I currently design for Ali Edwards and Gossamer Blue. My style is eclectic with a flair for mixing embellishments, creating layers and a love for white space. As of two years ago, I shifted her creative focus to documenting our family’s daily activities with Project Life.
